Gas Hob — common questions
- Do you install gas hobs, and is gas connection included?
- Yes, we supply and install. We fit the hob into your worktop cut-out and connect it to your existing gas point. For new gas line work or alterations, licensed gas service work may be needed separately — message us and we'll advise on your setup.
- Town gas or LPG — how do I know which hob I need?
- It depends on your home's supply. Most HDB and condo kitchens run on piped town gas, while some landed and older setups use LPG cylinders. Hobs are calibrated for one or the other, so confirm your gas type with us and we'll pick a compatible model.
- Which brands and price range do you offer?
- We carry EF, Mayer, Rinnai, Turbo, Otimmo, Mowe, EuropAce, Midea, Teka, Bertazzoni, Hafele and Fujioh. Built-in gas hobs range from around $273 to $1,600 depending on burners, glass finish and brand.
- Will the hob fit my existing countertop opening?
- Gas hobs come in various widths, and your existing cut-out determines the easiest swap. Send us the opening dimensions and we'll recommend hobs that drop in, or note where minor enlargement is needed.
- Can I supply my own hob and just book installation?
- We're geared toward supply-and-install so the fit and gas connection are handled as one job. If you've already bought a hob, WhatsApp us the model and we'll let you know whether we can take on the install.
