Warranty

Warranty Policy

Effective from 20 May 2026

Every job we do at SparkFlow comes with a workmanship warranty. Supplied products carry the manufacturer's warranty on top. Here's exactly what that means, by service type, and how to claim.

1. Workmanship warranty (our work)

Workmanship covers the labour we provide — how we installed, connected, mounted, or fixed something. If the issue is with our work and falls within the warranty window, we fix it free.

By service type:

  • Electrical works — 30 days workmanship warranty on socket / switch / wiring jobs. 1 year on DB box upgrades and dedicated circuit installs.
  • Plumbing repairs — 30 days on tap, pipe and toilet repairs. 90 days on full fixture replacements.
  • Ceiling fan installation1 year workmanship.
  • Water heater installation1 year workmanship.
  • Aircon servicing — 30 days on servicing & gas top-up. 1 year on full installation.
  • Painting90 days on finish quality (peeling, bubbling, flaking from prep / paint application defects). Excludes wear & tear, fading, or impact damage.
  • Renovation works — terms specified per contract; typically 1 year on tiling, carpentry, plumbing/electrical works under our licence.
  • Handyman — 30 days on mounting, assembly and minor repairs.
  • Cleaning — Re-clean is free if you flag the issue within 24 hours of handover.

2. Product warranty (supplied items)

Anything we supply (water heater, ceiling fan, sockets, light fittings, paint, etc.) carries the manufacturer's warranty as their warranty card specifies — usually 1–5 years depending on brand and product class. We help you make the claim if a fault falls within the manufacturer warranty window.

Examples of common warranty windows on products we supply:

  • Joven storage water heaters — 5 years on the inner tank, 1 year on parts.
  • KDK ceiling fans — 2 years standard, 5 years on the motor.
  • Daikin / Mitsubishi aircon — 1 year general, 5 years on the compressor.
  • Nippon / Dulux paint — varies by product line.

The exact terms are on the warranty card or packaging that came with the product. We keep a copy of major product warranties on file for 12 months after install.

3. What's NOT covered

  • Damage caused by misuse, accident, modification, or third-party work after we left the job.
  • Wear and tear (e.g. a tap washer wearing out 3 months in is normal use, not a warranty issue).
  • Damage from power surges, lightning, or sustained electrical anomalies on the grid.
  • Damage from water ingress unrelated to our installation (e.g. leak from the unit above).
  • Acts of god (flooding, earthquake, fire).
  • Customer-supplied parts or fixtures where we performed install-only.
  • Cosmetic issues notified more than 7 days after job completion.

4. How to claim

  1. WhatsApp us at +65 8069 1388 within the warranty window.
  2. Send photos / a short video of the issue and reference your original job (date, address, or our invoice number).
  3. We'll review and respond within 24 hours during work hours.
  4. For valid workmanship claims, we'll schedule a return visit at no charge. Most claim visits are completed within 3 working days.
  5. For product warranty claims, we'll either repair (if covered by our workmanship), or coordinate with the manufacturer.

5. Limits

Workmanship warranty is limited to the original Customer at the original installation address. It does not transfer with property sale. Total warranty liability for any single job is capped at the original job price.

6. Beyond warranty

Even after warranty ends, we'd rather hear from you than not. Send us a message — we can usually quote a fair repair price and often spot whether the original issue was related to our work (in which case we'll consider it a goodwill fix).
