Terms of Service

Effective from 20 May 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the home-services work SparkFlow Pte Ltd ("SparkFlow", "we", "us") provides to you ("Customer", "you") in Singapore. By engaging us for any service — quotation, inspection, installation, repair or maintenance — you accept these Terms.

1. Quotations

Quotations are based on the information you give us (photos, descriptions, postcode, brand/model details). Once we've visited on-site, the quote is fixed — we won't increase it unless we discover something genuinely unforeseen (e.g. hidden water damage, non-standard wiring) and we'll always stop and confirm with you before continuing.

Quotes are valid for 30 days. After that, prices may need adjusting for parts and labour rates.

2. Scheduling and cancellations

  • Confirmed bookings are tentative until we send a written WhatsApp confirmation.
  • Same-day and emergency call-outs carry a surcharge agreed upfront.
  • Cancellations with more than 24 hours' notice are free.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations after our team has dispatched may be charged the full call-out fee.
  • If we cancel or reschedule for any reason on our side, you owe nothing.

3. Site access and safety

You agree to:

  • Provide reasonable access to the work area (e.g. clear furniture, unlock cabinets) before our arrival.
  • Disclose any known hazards (asbestos suspicion, recent flooding, structural issues).
  • Keep pets and young children out of the immediate work zone for their own safety.
  • Authorise the work to be performed if you are the owner or have the owner's written permission (tenants must confirm landlord approval for any structural work).

4. Pricing and payment

  • All prices are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD) inclusive of GST where applicable.
  • Payment is due on completion. We accept bank transfer, PayNow (using our UEN), and major credit/debit cards via secure payment links.
  • For projects above $1,500, we may request a 30% deposit before work commences.
  • Outstanding balances after 14 days may incur a late-payment surcharge of 1.5% per month.

5. Parts and materials

Where we supply parts (sockets, breakers, water heaters, ceiling fans, paints, fittings), we use components from reputable brands at fair market price. You may choose to supply your own parts — let us know upfront so we can quote install-only, and note that our workmanship warranty will not cover product defects in customer-supplied items.

6. Workmanship warranty

All workmanship is warranted as specified in our Warranty Policy. Supplied products carry their manufacturer's warranty in addition to our workmanship warranty. To claim, WhatsApp us within the warranty window with photos and a description of the issue.

7. Limits of our liability

Our liability for any single job is limited to the price you paid for that job. We are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing conditions or defects in your home that we did not cause.
  • Loss of use, lost earnings, or consequential losses (e.g. spoiled food because we serviced the fridge circuit and you forgot to plug it back in).
  • Damage caused by you or third parties after we left the job.
  • Outcomes from work done outside the agreed scope at your request without a written variation.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law.

8. Insurance

SparkFlow carries Public Liability insurance. Details of cover can be shared on written request before commencing work.

9. Photos of completed work

We may take photos of completed work for our portfolio and social media. Photos will never identify your address, your face, or personal belongings. If you'd prefer no photos at all, tell us on WhatsApp before the visit and we'll respect that.

10. Customer obligations

By engaging us you confirm that:

  • You are 18 or over and authorised to enter into this agreement.
  • You have the right to authorise the work being done (as owner, or with the owner's permission).
  • Any HDB-regulated works are within our HDB Licensed Contractor scope (HB-10-5499Z); ME05-regulated electrical works under our L1 licence.

11. Disputes

We aim to resolve any disagreement amicably. If we can't, you may refer the matter to the Singapore Mediation Centre or the Small Claims Tribunals (for claims up to $20,000). These Terms are governed by Singapore law and any litigation will be heard in the courts of Singapore.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The version that applies to your job is the one in effect on the date we send your quotation. Material changes will be highlighted with a notice on this page.
