Why bother with move-in cleaning if the seller cleaned?

Most sellers/landlords clean to a presentable level — surfaces wiped, floors mopped. Move-in cleaning goes deeper: inside cabinets, fridge seals, AC filters, behind appliances, mould spots in bathrooms. It's the difference between 'looks clean' and 'sanitised enough to put your toothbrush down'.

How much does move-in cleaning cost?

3-room HDB: $280-380. 4-room: $350-480. 5-room: $420-580. Condo / EA / landed by quote. Includes labour, all materials, AC filter clean, fridge sanitise, cabinet interior wipe. Pricing assumes empty unit.

How long does it take?

3-room: 4-5 hours. 4-room: 5-6 hours. 5-room: 6-7 hours. Best done before you move furniture in — empty unit means we can clean every corner properly.

Should I do it before or after my furniture arrives?

Accepted Answer

Before, ideally. Empty unit lets us reach inside cabinets, behind kitchen counters, under all sinks. Once furniture's in, the same job takes 30-50% longer + can't access certain areas.

Do you clean fridge + AC?

Accepted Answer

Yes — fridge interior + seals + drip tray sanitised. AC indoor unit cover removed, filter washed, condensate drain checked. If the AC hasn't been serviced in years we'll recommend a chemical wash (/services/aircon/chemical-wash) — separate quote.

What about the mould spots in old bathrooms?

Standard move-in service includes mould spot treatment (anti-fungal spray + scrub). Heavy mould (entire ceiling, grout lines blackened) may need professional mould remediation — we'll tell you on assessment.

Can you also handle the post-renovation dust?

Accepted Answer

If you've just done a reno, post-renovation cleaning is a separate scope — see /services/cleaning/post-renovation. Different chemicals, different prep. The two are sometimes combined ($450-650 for full reno + sanitise pass).

Eco-friendly options?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we can use plant-based sanitisers (Method, Ecover, vinegar+citric mix) instead of commercial chemical cleaners. Slightly less aggressive on heavy buildup but fine for normal sanitise work. Tell us on booking, no extra cost.
