Industry honesty note

The gas top-up scam, explained.

Why a top-up alone isn't a fix — and how we do it differently.

Topping up without leak-testing is a trap

Refrigerant doesn't "get used up" — if it's low, there's a leak. Topping up without finding the leak buys you 2-4 weeks before the same problem returns. Some installers do this knowingly because they get paid for the repeat visit.

We pressure-test FIRST

Nitrogen pressure test or electronic leak detector before any gas is added. Find the leak, fix it (usually a brazed joint at the connection), THEN top up. Cost more upfront, save a fortune over 12 months.

Gas type matters

Wrong refrigerant + wrong PAG/POE oil = compressor damage in 6 months. We check your unit's nameplate before adding anything. R32 ≠ R410A ≠ R22.

Three refrigerants

We carry all three.

Older unit, newer unit — same call, we bring the right gas.
