Code-compliant rewiring4.9340+ reviews

Rewire your home, safely.

If testing or an electrical assessment shows that wiring or the distribution board needs upgrading, we define a partial or full replacement scope. Regulated work is carried out by the responsible EMA Licensed Electrical Worker, with applicable testing and handover records stated up front.

Six visible red flags

Is your wiring telling you something?

Some signs require immediate isolation; others need diagnosis. We'll explain the priority after assessing the actual condition.

Warm or scorched switch plates

Unexpected heat, discolouration or a burning smell can indicate a loose connection, overload or damaged accessory. Stop using the point and arrange an electrical assessment.

Stop using the affected point
Frequent breaker trips on one circuit

Repeated trips can come from overload, an appliance fault, damaged wiring, moisture or a protective-device issue. The cause needs testing rather than guesswork.

Diagnose before resetting again
Buzzing, crackling, or arcing sounds

Buzzing or crackling may indicate a loose or failing electrical connection. Switch off the affected circuit if it is safe to do so and seek urgent advice.

Treat as urgent
Lights flickering across multiple rooms

Flicker can come from a lamp or driver, a circuit connection or the incoming supply. Patterns help diagnosis, but they do not prove which part has failed.

Record the pattern and arrange a check
Older installation with unknown history

Age alone does not set a fixed expiry date for wiring. Condition, alterations, loading, environment and previous test results determine whether inspection or replacement is appropriate.

Review records and condition
Aluminium wiring or cloth-covered cable

Unfamiliar, deteriorated or older cable types should be identified and tested by a Licensed Electrical Worker. Replacement scope depends on condition and the installation design.

What's actually in the job

Six scope items to define clearly.

Rewiring is more than new conductors. Your quote should make the removal, protection, testing and finishing responsibilities clear.

Strip out old cable runs

Remove or safely isolate superseded wiring as defined in the approved scope, while checking whether existing conduits can be reused.

New colour-coded PVC cabling

Install suitable cable for the circuit design, route, load and protective device, using the applicable conductor identification.

Replace + relabel the DB box

Where replacement is required, the Licensed Electrical Worker specifies the distribution board, protective devices and circuit labelling for the installation.

Earthing and bonding assessed

Required earthing, protective conductors and bonding are checked and included where applicable to the installation and scope.

Testing and handover record

The responsible Licensed Electrical Worker defines the applicable inspection and tests, and the quote states which readings or handover records are provided.

Make-good finishing

Any chasing, patching, priming or final painting is listed explicitly so the electrical and finishing scopes are clear.

Site survey to handover

How a rewire actually runs.

No mystery. No “we'll come and look at it.” Here's the sequence; timing is confirmed after the survey.

01
Site survey
Scope-dependent

The Licensed Electrical Worker reviews the installation and test needs. You receive a written quote distinguishing full, partial and distribution-board work.

02
Schedule + permit
Schedule agreed

We identify applicable HDB, managing-agent or supply-isolation requirements and confirm who handles each submission or notice.

03
On-site rewire
Confirmed after survey

Work is sequenced by circuit, access and occupancy constraints. Planned outages, temporary arrangements and the estimated programme are stated before mobilisation.

04
Test + certify
Before handover

The responsible Licensed Electrical Worker completes the applicable inspection and tests. The agreed test results, labels and records are handed over.

05
Make-good + handover
Scope-dependent

We complete the included making-good, explain circuit labels and changes, and provide the written workmanship and product-warranty terms that apply.

Honest pricing

Four tiers, one quote up front.

We tell you which tier you actually need after the survey — not the most expensive one we can sell.

DB-box upgrade only
Site quote

Assess the existing supply, board, circuits and protective devices; quote the replacement, testing and handover record as one defined scope.

Most common
Partial rewire
After testing

Targeted replacement of circuits that fail assessment or need upgrading. Distribution-board work is included only when specified.

Full HDB / condo rewire
Site quote

A room-by-room circuit, point, distribution-board, testing and making-good schedule tailored to the property.

By survey

Quoted after reviewing floors, sub-mains, distribution boards, point schedule, access, testing and making-good requirements.
